SFS #001: Build Your Money Team

Read time: 4 minutes

Peace and Happy Saturday!

The path to becoming a millionaire is a beautiful one. Today I’m going to share an actionable strategy that will speed up your process.

In my “Seven Steps To Seven Figures” guide I talk about building a money team. This is the group of people who will help you reach your goal of gaining control of your finances and becoming a millionaire.

Now this team will be different for each person. Some people need a financial therapist, others may need a financial coach, etc. That’s why it’s important to first understand your specific situation and also the various roles that can be played within the financial world.

Here’s how to start building your team:

1-Create and review your personal finance goals.

2-Next, think about the people in your network who can help with specific goals. For example, if you have as a goal to increase your life insurance coverage, think about who in your network is a licensed life agent or if you need an Estate Plan, who in your network is an Estate Planning Attorney.

3-Begin adding to your network based on your needs. You may have decided you need a financial mentor—someone with a track record of financial success. Or you may not have that Estate Planning Attorney from above in your network so it provides you with a clear focus of who to recruit and add.

4-As you add members to your money team, meet with them regularly. You can decide to meet with them individually or as a group —your choice.

5-Remember you are the quarterback, the point guard, the captain of your team. They are there to serve you and not the other way around.

How does this help you reach 7 figures? These are the people who will provide you with the accountability, guidance and support to reach your goal—without a team it’s almost impossible to reach this level of success.

If you want to learn more about my 7 steps, I have attached my "Seven Steps To Seven Figures" guide. And if you want to discuss the "Build Your Money Team" strategy further, schedule a goal session: https://calendly.com/emcloydyourcfo/30-min.
